The speaker for our September meeting is David Gratz, a licensed attorney and the owner of The Gratz Law Firm, PLLC. David's career is a compelling blend of legal practice and hands-on investigative experience, giving him a truly multifaceted perspective.
With over a decade of experience in the legal field, David began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in Tennessee’s Third Judicial District. He then took his courtroom knowledge to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, where for nearly six years as a Special Agent and Legal Instructor, he specialized in complex cases involving violent crime, missing persons, and white-collar crime. While at TBI, David instructed law enforcement officers state-wide on the issues of Search and Seizure, Interview and Interrogation, and Courtroom Testimony.
David now uses his experience from both the prosecutorial and investigative sides of the justice system in his private practice, focusing on criminal defense, civil litigation, estate planning, and family law. His background makes him uniquely qualified to guide us through the essential elements and intricacies of courtroom testimony.
