Michele McRoy, CFE - Secretary

Michele McRoy moved from North Carolina in 2006 to Kingsport, TN.  Prior to moving to TN, she worked for what is now PNC bank for 20 years.  In 2006, she was employed by Bank of Tennessee and in 2009, transferred to the Security Department.  In 2012, she was promoted to Security Officer and works with fraud and physical security.  In 2013, she received her ICB Certified Financial Services Security Professional (CFSSP) certification and in 2018, her Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) certification.  Michele is a member of security groups in Sevierville and Knoxville.  In August of 2018, she formed the Tri Cities Banking Security Association (a networking and information-sharing group for banks, credit unions and law enforcement) in the Tri-Cities and the group meets every other month.  From 2017-2019, she also worked with AARP to help develop, test and implement the BankSafe interactive training program for financial institution front line staff on how to detect and deter elder financial exploitation and in 2019, the training was rolled out nationally.
